• Geneticist / Genetic Engineer

About

A geneticist or genetic engineer is a professional who studies genes, genetic variation, and heredity in organisms. They use their knowledge of genetics to manipulate and modify genes, often for the purpose of improving or changing an organism's traits or characteristics. Geneticists may work in a variety of fields, including healthcare, agriculture, biotechnology, and research.

A geneticist is a biologist who studies genetics, the science of genes, heredity, and variation of organisms. Geneticists study the inheritance of traits. They may focus on these events at the molecular, organism, or population level. Some treat people with genetic disorders. Many environmental geneticists try to understand how environmental factors or exposures interact with genes to cause disease.
